Aloha!

I am Cynthia R Buckles, Portrait Photographer & Artist on the Big Island of Hawaii in the Misty Mountains of Waimea.

All my life, I have been drawn to art & photography. My creative journey took me from the University of Alaska, to the University of Hawaii. I have been honored to call Hawaii home the last 15 years.

As a mother of two teens, I enjoy making children happy- both in photo sessions and through face painting. I recognize and appreciate the child’s imagination and enthusiasm. Everyone has a young artist inside of them. I enjoy inspiring children to create art!

Henna, can be bonding, celebratory and healing. I love the weddings and events I have had the honor to celebrate with my clients. We have become friends through the beauty of henna.
